Soft hair...here we come!

I have had every hair color imaginable!  Unfortunately I don't have the privilege to have my hair colored at the salon. That being said, i do whatever i can get to get my hair smooth and shiny.

Lets start off with some natural stuff!
First consider your hair type.

    1. If you have thick hair or knotted Hair, you might want to avoid masks mainly because you would use up a lot of ingredients. Try giving the almighty OLIVE OIL a try. Put olive oil in a bowl and warm it up in the microwave. Keep in mind that oil heats very fast so don't put it in for more than 10 second at a time. You want it to be nice warm not HOT! Put it all throughout your hair including the roots and the tips as well. Keep it on all night, or for 45 minutes. The longer the better! Shampoo and condition, and you're all set!

2.  For Dry hair you can give the recipe  above a go as well, or try and avocado hair mask. Get a nice AVOCADO ready by cutting it in half and emptying into a bowl. Smash the avocado until it gets into a smooth consistency. Add two nice spoon fulls of MAYONNAISE (i know it sounds gross but its very nutritional for your hair!) and lots of OLIVE OIL, as much as you think you need. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse, shampoo, and condition! This only work if you really get the avocado into a nice smooth consistency, no chunks no matter how small!

  3. If you have oily hair grab some BAKING SODA and put it in a bowl and mix it with you SHAMPOO (50/50 ratio) and some WATER. Leave this on for an hour and your good to go!

Now for the store bought products!

1. The first thing is more on the natural side! This is one of my favorite masks to buy because its so cheap but still does wonders for my hair. This little packet is called the REPLENISHING PAK by Organic ROOT Stimulator. I can promise you it will do wonders for your hair! It only costs $1.79 at my local RITE AID, but it's in any drug store. If you have thick long hair you might want to consider purchasing two.

2. The next little packet is the same price. This is more refreshing as it has a cooling effect as you apply it. If you like a more chemical sort of approach to hair care this packet it great! I switch from these two packets mainly because i love them both!  This one is called OPTIMUM CARE salon collection, deep conditioning masque by SoftSheen-Carson. For $1.79 this is one heck of a bargain.

Couple more tips for amazing hair!

1. For your last rinse as you're washing your hair, rinse with super cold water. This will make your hair very shiny!
2. Why not give vinegar a go?  mix water and vinegar together about 30/70 ratio 30 being vinager and use that for your last rinse.
3. Dont towel dry your hair! Putting your hair up in a towel to dry is very damaging!
4. Brush your wet hair with a wide toothed comb, a bush can damage your hair because its just too rough and basically yanks it out!
5. If you wash your hair everyday try cutting it down to every other day. At first it might seems gross but your pores on your head will adjust, thus producing less oil.
6. Purchase a dry shampoo for those days that your aren't washing your hair. This will make you hair feel nice and clean but more importantly let your hair have a rest fro the harsh shampoos. If you don't want to buy a dry shampoo you can use a translucent makeup powder on your roots to get rid of the oil, or use baby instead!
7. Massage your scalp and get a regular trim! This will help your hair look nice and healthy while its growing!
8. Take a new shampoo and conditioner into consideration! I love Mane 'n Tail shampoo and conditioners! Give them a go! They really help my hair grow.
9. I just started using Aussie's hair insurance leave-in conditoner! Its really amazing!

I really hope you guys find these tips helpful! Remember, be patient with your hair, soon enough it will be were you want it to be! - XOXO Valentina
