Summer Time

 I LOVE Love Love summer.

Not only do we ladies get to look cute in our summer dresses, we also get experiment with color!  Now while some think of only changing their wardrobe for summer, I think of adding color to my makeup. I AM INSPIRED. While bright colors can be quite tricky to use in makeup looks, I've come up with the best way to add that pop we all need during the summer time.

Check out this awesome video makeup tutorial i made for this summer!

EYES
  • Covergirl's perfect blend pencil eyeliner in back-the perfect wing liner helps lift the eye and give a very subtle sexy look.
  • NYX makeup artist palette black eyeshadow- using a black eyeshadow on top of the liner helps seal the beautiful wing you've worked so hard on
  • Wet 'n Wild's Fantasy Markers Glitter Palettes lime green color- this green base helps the eyeshadow that will be applied pop!
  • Wet 'n Wild's Cool as a cucumber 382B mint green brow bone color- when applied to the inner dear duct, this bright green color will make your eyes seem wider brighter and sexier.
  • N.Y.C'S eyelash curler- curling your eyelashes is a must!
  • L'OREAL'S Telescopic mascara- This lengthening will widen your eyes even more
Adding a pop of color to the inner tear duct helps eyes pop!

FACE
  • Neutrogena's Oil-free moisture for combination skin- a moisturizer helps the makeup to be evenly applied.
  • Garnier's Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream in Light/Medium- This B.B. cream helps even out the skins complexion
  • Covergirl's Clean foundation for normal skin in 155 soft honey- When applied to the out perimeter of the face, this foundation helps the skin look bronzed and glowing
  • Revlon ColorStay makeup for oily skin in 180 sand beige- Due to the strong pigmentation in this foundation, it can easily be doubled as a concealer to cover those imperfections
  • Revlon ColorStay Aqua mineral makeup in Light Pale- This mineral makeup powder helps seal your makeup while adding that extra bit of coverage.
  • NYX Makeup artist palette bronzers- The matte bronzers help give dimension to the face while adding the healthy summer bronzed glow.
  • NYX Makeup artist palette baby pink blush- A pink blush helps the green pop even more while also bringing out those gorgeous cheek bones
 LIPS
  • napoleon perdis lip patrol in commander peach- this peachy lipstick glides on and helps bring the look together by adding on that bit of color your lips might need.

I think this look is perfect example of what summer makeup should look like. I loved filming this video and writting this blog to go along with it! I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as i did.

WEEK ONE: Acne Diet

Acne, Dark spots, Discoloration, Redness

Those are all the things wrong with my skin.

Soft, Smooth, Glowing, Normal.

Those are all the things right with my skin.

I'll be honest, I definitely don't take enough time to sit and look at the cons of my skin. Like most women or girls who wear makeup, I got a bit uncomfortable with my skin.

Although I don't mind being at home without makeup, a few years back I would be caught DEAD leaving my house without foundation and concealer on.

Now i can PROUDLY say that after a week of my diet, I have gotten a lot more comfortable with my natural skin.

So what I have I done this week?

  • well to start off i stopped eating any sort of dairy. Okay....I tried! I cheated a couple of times with some pasta but thats it!

  • As for the water goes I've defintly have been trying my hardest to drink a lot of it. Its very hard for me when i have school going on.

  • One thing i have succeeded on is my daily skin care routine! Everyday I have been using my acne kit!  I LOVE IT. So far my skin has been feeling cleaner and smoother. I defiantly would recommend this to other people suffering from skin problems.

Now lets check out some before and after pictures.... DRUM ROLL PLEASE...!!!

Before: I was suffering from a lot of acne scaring. Scabs, redness, and painful pimples covered my cheeks.

After: My scars have noticeably reduced not only in size but color! My face doesn't ache as much.

So what does this mean?

Considering I havent been giving it a 100% effort, I strongly believe this diet has been helping me. I will definatly stay on this diet and try harder to consume less dairy, drink more water, and eat healthier!

What do you guys think?

BEFORE YOU LEAVE!

Check out this picture of the new makeup look I'm going to show you guys how to achieve next week! That's right! I'm rocking the 50's look and you will after watching that upcoming tutorial, so stay tuned!

The foundation of makeup

With so many make-up looks I sometimes get a little overwhelmed! That's when I sit down and remember that one thing is important in any make-up look. Skin SKIN skin. Even if you have acne, hyper-pigmentation or scars on your face and even if you have amazing skin: foundation, concealer, bronzer and blush can make a huge difference with your general appearance.
I started using make-up when i had pretty good skin. No acne, scars, or dry patches. Foundation didn't come into my life until i started to develop acne. That doesn't have to be the case for you!

If you have normal skin with no scars but suffer from the occasional breakout you can still use foundation. Just mix it up with your favorite moisturizer and wah-la! You have a tinted moisturizer (you can always buy a tinted moisturizer).Cover those random spots with concealer and continue on with blush and bronzer.

If you suffer from acne or any sort of skin irritation then follow these easy steps I've put together in a video for you!

Tired of acne?

I remember when I was in my elementary and junior high school years, running around and worried about nothing. I also remember my brother and his acne. I always thought I was so lucky that I didn't have acne but he always said to me "just wait until you get pimples!" Well...Lets just say that i didn't have to wait long.
I was in last year of junior high when my acne problem began to develop (one year after I started wearing makeup). The more in love with makeup, the more obsessed I got with my skin problem! Hormones defiantly did and still do play a huge part with any acne from the ages of 12-late 20's.

Dont stress!!
Listen, everyone has acne! Don't freak out over blemishes, the more you focus on it the worst it'll get! Trust me, your energy is very powerful and if you put it all towards you acne problem, it wont get any better!

Change your ways!
Change your focus. Don't pick at your pimples, pick on something else!

Love your face!
Hoʻoponopono. Weird word huh? Hoʻoponopono is an ancient hawain practice which allows you to learn forgiveness and acceptance. I know this might sound crazy but it was introduced to me by a very special person and has changed my ways.
 Four phrases!
I love you
Please forgive me
Im sorry
Thank you

Say I love you to your blemishes! Apologize for what you have done with the excessive picking and energy towards the acne, ask for forgiveness as well! And thank it for giving you the knowledge of knowing what to do in certain situations!
I promise this help you. if you keep doing this you will notice your acne less and be relaxed and happy. Stress induced acne won't come up anymore.

MY DIET!
Starting march I will begin an acne diet! Diet plays an important role in your skin as well as health. Although not proven, an acne diet can change your skin's complexion in many ways!

No more:
  •  Dairy products- yogurt, chocolate, milk, cheese, and any other thing!
  •  junk food- I'm eating all veggies and fruits!

Lots of:
  •  WATER: a lot, a lot of water
  •  fruits: all yummy kinds!

Now for my daily routine I will be using (drum roll please!)

Clean&clear's advantage acne control kit! Ive tried this before and I really loved it so I thought I would give it a go again! plus its affordable!

Now every Monday for four weeks I will have a blog with pictures of my skin and how it's doing! One picture for every day each will will give you a good review on this diet and acne kit! At the end of the month i will have one big video with before and after videos.. I am sooo excited!

Stay tuned! Here's to great skin and happiness!
